Core Saturator, BH-3,The system for saturation of core samples (saturator) is intended to saturate the core samples brine, oil or other formation fluids sequential operation vacuum evaporation and saturation.
Core Saturator is a core sample saturation system that consists of a vacuum/pressure control panel, one or two saturation vessels, a pneumatic pump, and a vacuum pump. The system allows complete saturation of multiple core plugs or whole core samples at pressures up to 2000 psi and maintained at this pressure independent of temperature fluctuations.
The Core Saturator, BH-3 offers a pneumatic pressure control system for ease of use and increased efficiency. With the pneumatic pressure system the operator simply opens a valve to the pneumatically operated pump for system pressurization. A preset pressure regulator controls the maximum pressure capability of the pump for unattended pressure maintenance. The included stand allows a small and full diameter pressure vessel to be mounted for convenience.
Available accessories include plug sample trays, up to 3 of which can be accommodated and dead volume sets. Use of sample containers is recommended to help minimize grain loss and to insure complete saturation of samples by keeping them immersed in saturating fluid when removing them from the Auto Saturator. Dead volume sets reduce the amount of saturate required to fill the Core Saturator when there are insufficient samples to completely fill the system.
